Links do not work after 1.7.0 build 7906 update | Forum

Hi everyone, I am experiencing something very annoying here with Oxwall 1.7.0.

I manually updated the files using the ow_core_update_pack_1.7.0, then updated the plugins (active and not), and finally updated the themes.

All was working okay until I realized that the links have stopped working.

The site is Baku Armenians and it's currently not possible to sign-in or sign-up. If you go to the sign-in portion of the site and successfully enter, none of the links in the dashboard work.

I can't change settings, pages, menus, etc.

Any advice?

Thanks

So far to help correct the problem I've had to deactivate all of the active plugins except Advertisemet, Facebook Connect, and VKontakte connect.

Now I am able to sign-in, sing-up, and the nav links are now working again.

I will begin to reactivate the plugins one by one till I find the culprit.

Update: The site is back to where it was. The above mentioned three plugins are still active but nothing works. I thought it might be the activity notification plugin or Add This plugin but it doesn't look like this is where the issue is.

I thought it was the anti brute force plugin but it too looks like the wrong place to look.

It seems that it's a core update issue.

Seems like a clear cover goes over the buttons, text links work, not the nav menu.

Deactivated ALL plugins, now working with the base. Still nothing. Seems like there is some post processing happening where it places some sort of a clear cover over the buttons.

Did you disable all plugins (and use default theme) before upgrading the core?

And then add plugins one at a time and upgrade them?

Vitaliy, what you need to do now is
- enable DEV MODE in ow_includes/config.php
- refresh your site a couple of times. Buttons should start working.
- disable DEV MODE.

Thank you for the replies. What I ended up doing is reinstalling from scratch.

@Steve - I did not disable all of the plugins and revert to the default theme before upgrading. To be quote honest I didn't think it'd need to, I assumed updates would be installed much like self-install WordPress. Thanks for the heads up, I will remember to do this next time.

I'm assuming this is a process followed for core updates?

@Aliia Because I reinstalled the whole thing over again, and am happy I did, I won't go there since the pointers are already pointing to another directory and it'd be a bit if a hassle now.

I did run into another problem which I hope you two can help me with.

I now get an 500 Error on the new install after trying to add a custom page pointing to an already existing page which was hidden. Please take a look here.
