I tried that but i get the same error.

my domain looks like subdomain.mysite.com

so i type in ftp.subdomain.mysite.com & also tried ftp.mysite.com with the cPanel user/pass

It doesn;t seem to work for me

Contact your hosting provider to find out the right access details.

Sub domains run off the same/Main ftp path so it shouldn't matter, if you'd like I could take a look at your cPanel, PM me the log in credentials if your want.

Responded with:
Not the domain hosting, need cPanel so I can look up your ftp attributes

Your provider should be able/willing to help you out with this, have you tried reaching out to them?

I'd also be happy to take a look if you PM me your cPanel login details. If you're uncomfortable in giving those details out try this:

1. Login to cPanel

2. Click on the FTP Accounts icon

3. Scroll down and find the FTP account you normally login with and click Configure FTP Client

4. Verify all the details match up to what you're seeing from step 3

Or you can simply download the configuration files to automate this for you.
