Featured photos? 

Can you please provide a screenshot of the featured photo page?

go to photos page and in photo menu is latest  featured  tope rated  most discussed  
photo/viewlist/featured
admin view photo  click top right icon drop down select add to featured use to work 

but now select photo as featured  say its selected fine no errors but the photo does not show up on featured photos page

Do you have any privacy settings related to the photo album?

privacy should have nothing to do with it 

the photos are on photos page so are not set to private 

Have you set in the privacy section, view photo album to my friends
