Just install this software, and try to customize the appearance.
I try to look for the third column (sidebar) to insert an element but couldn't find it.
Is the sidebar didn't include in the default theme?

I have 4 available themes. Only "Macabre" and "Aerial" have the sidebar. "Graphite" and "Green" don't have it.
