With the mobile functionality, still quite a way off complete. Responsive themes give the best UX for mobile users at the moment.
Users find the IM window annoying, on small screen mobile - has anyone tried switching it off, when accessed by mobile?
Perhaps a switch in the UI to ensure it can be properly hidden?

Matt, could you please specify whether you need to completely remove the IM if a user opens the site via mobile device or make it to look more user-friendly?

Well I remain unsure if the IM can look better on a smart phone? If it could that would be awesome, what do you suggest? There doesn't seem the screen estate for the IM, virtual keyboard etc. If not, it would be better switched off.
Obviously, once the IM is part of the native mobile solution that will be ace - but until then...
