download a theme from oxwall store. extract the folder. upload the folder to your site into /ow_themes/
now goto your admin panel and in the appearance menu you can select your newly uploaded theme.

Where exactly should I upload the folder? I don't know what /ow_themes/ refers to. Thanks!

You use an ftpclient program from your computer (filezilla for example) and configure a connection using the ftp credentials setup in your host to connect to the site. You will see the site file structure. /ow_themes is there.
You upload the theme you downloaded (and extracted) to that area and it will be made available.
