is there a code i can use to make the smaller widgets/menus to move down as users scroll down (just like the facebook widget on the right for ads) on a page especially pages with newsfeed so that there are no empty spaces on the page? thanks.

I don't understand to what smaller widgets/menus you're referring to. Please provide screenshot so we could assist you better.

yes exactly.....to customize the side where in parallel with the newsfeed (mot the menu bar on the left) so that the widget will fill the space. I'm talkimg about in the body area of pages with newsfeed and newsfeed is usually longer than the rest there will be a big empty space.

Unfortunately this can't be done via CSS as the left block with widgets will always be positioned relatively to the window not newsfeed.
This is considered as a custom code modification.
You will need to hire a programmer to do that for you, you can do that here:
