Quick question: Does Oxwall offer multisite functionality, or is there a feasible way to set it up? All I found was users requesting this feature years ago, but if it would have been implemented, I guess would have probably found that as well.

No, there's no such a functionality in the default software and it requires huge code modification.
You'll need to hire a programmer to do that for you. You can do that here:
