Install problems on 1&1 | Forum

Hi everyone.

I am experimenting some installation problems on my 1&1 "unlimited" plan.

problem number 1 : after uploading the folder on the server and when I try to access it with "http" address it just gives me a 404 error

but when I access the website's folder with "https" it works.

So ok, I just did the install with "https" but now
here is the next problem

Problem 2 : When I access the admin dashboard here is what i get "(Code d'erreur : ssl_error_bad_cert_domain)"

and problem number 3 : on 1&1 there are not easy way to set cron task - i must log on with ssh etc-, but i could set a successful cron task (one who send me emails each minutes). Then i set the oxwall cron but still got oxwall warning even after minutes so I assume it didn't work.
How to easily set a cron task?

I would really really greatly appreciate some help
thank you very very much

Salim, do you have SSL certificate installed on your website?

The second problem http://www.oxwall.org/ow_userfiles/plugins/base/7273-admin%20dashboard.jpg has been already reported it will be fixed asap.
As to the cron task - here's the tutorial how to configure your cron jobs: https://docs.oxwall.org/install:cron Take a look at the Run cron locally part to configure your cron jobs via SSH or you can just contact your hosting provider to assist you with that.

Ok thanks about the cron task.

About the SSL, I do have a SSL certificate installed for free by 1&1 (geotrust).

Just to tell you that even now that Oxwal is installed if I still try to access oxwall with the "http" adress I still get the 404 error. Maybe a problem with htaccess?? rewriting is not working properly?

What do you have in your ow_includes/config.php file as a home URI is the address with https?

Salim I can only suggest you to contact your hosting provider and request you to assist with the https configuration, seems like they have some restrictions or configuration nuances regarding https.

Because by default, if you have https website and you put http in the URL you should be redirected to https

If you have http website and you put https in the URL, your website should just come without styles.

Also have you done any changes in the htaccess file?
