How to hide members list pages | Forum

I'm looking for a way to block the user list pages  ( example:  http://www.oxwall.org/users/ ) unless someone does a specific search. I don't want members just randomly looking to see who's there. Any direction possible will be most appreciated.

You can hide the page from the menu. However if a user types the URL: http://www.oxwall.org/users/ he/she will be able to see it as this is a permalink.

Exactly - now how to hide the entire list from view, aside from a specific search?

This is a custom code modification.

You will need to hire a programmer to do that for you. You can do that here: http://www.oxwall.org/market/specialists

Yes indeed, custom code modification, and being a programmer myself I just need to know where to begin. ;)

I managed to have the page return back nothing for those items I don't want.  So the issue is closed.  Many thanks again.
