Hello people i have sent this to addenster too but just seeing if anybody else have had this problem that could help?

"Hi addenster, sorry for another message.

I am trying to create a facebook app of my domain www.studentszine.com which pulls the info from that domain to a canvas page/ iframe on facebook.com - for this to work facebook requires secure browsing https.

I have used the shared ssl cert provided by justhost which they said will work. When i try it i get a 404 not found error, so its a problem in my .htaccess.

However i was wondering after reading through the forum could this be a problem with the oxwall double direct issue using https ?

Hope you have some ideas.

Thanks Addenster

Hi Richard, is this report related to Facebook Connect or to Facebook Import Contacts? Please give us more information.

Hi aka Le Mulder

em i was trying to eventually get the contact importer to work, however i know there is a problem with that at the moment that oxwall are working on.

So my main problem is to get https working. [this is the main domain] http://www.studentszine.com/

https://secure.justhost.com/~username/ [this is the shared ssl provided by justhost which they said works to create the facebook app] I am having .htaccess problem according to them. but i will need to get this working so that i can then get the import contacts working eventually - any ideas?

Was wondering was oxwall having any problems from there side with ssl and https

Richard, we tested https protocol with Oxwall and everything works properly. Just don't forget to change the value for site URL in ow_includes/config.php once you installed the https certificate.

Ok folks, I still cant get this to work....have others got their facebook apps to work so their facebook contact importer works and doesn't just lead people to a 404 error on facebook iframe?

I am wondering can you help with the facebook contact importer [I have been having trouble with this for the past year]. When people invite people with the facebook importer their friends receive notifications through facebook, but when they click on it it leads them to a 404 not found error. However this doesn't happen for my facebook account so i didn't realise for ages. I have tried everything to solve this and i can't. I use the justhost shared ssl certificate as facebook now require https etc. https://secure.justhost.com/~username/ Justhost have told me that this cert works however they will not help me further as they say they are under strict rules not to help with any scripting issues etc.. I have searched all forums etc and cant solve it, i dont know what i'm doing wrong.

Ok folks justhost have told me they believe it is a syntax error in the .htaccess file - I have attached my .htaccess file if anyone can help me. They also told me that if i renamed the .htaccess file the ssl cert would then work.. Would my website fail to work then?

Dear Richard, can you make a screen shot of your  Facebook app settings? Seems like you have set it incorrectly.
