Add new Plugin error | Forum

Hi,

When I try to add a new plugin to my site, it seems to go just as planned.

I choose the zip file and press upload - it uploads and I get a green "Plugin uploaded and ready to install" but the plugin isn't there :-/

When I take a look at the servers file system, I can see the plugin dir fine in the ow_plugins, all the folders in the plugin dir is there but there isn't any files :-(

If I try to upload the plugin manually (With the same ftp account as I use in Oxwall) everything works, all folders and files upload as planned.

Something is not going as planned with the oxwall upload and unzipping!

I'm running on a FRESH install of Ubuntu server 14.04

What plugin is it?
Does the same happen with other plugins? 3rd party? Oxwall native plugins?

PM me your CPanel access details, FTP access details and admin access details from the website, please

It is my own server, so I have NO cPanel access and do NOT give out login details to a produktion server!

I'm sure you will be able to reproduce the error if you install a new server your self. I done it 3 times in a row with same error

Ubuntu server 64bit, setup with static IP (http://www.ubuntu.com/download/server)

VestaCP (http://www.vestacp.com/)

Set up a new user in Vestacp, with new website, new DB, new Cron job e.t.c

If I set up a Wordpress site, updates and plugin installation works just fine for that site :-/

I try to setup a test server with access to ssh, ftp and admin access to the website. Might take a day or two.

can you try to manually install the plugin. See tutorial:  https://docs.oxwall.org/install:plugin Does the issue persist?

Like I said in the first post, when I upload the plugin manually, everything works fine.

It's only when I use the "Add new plugin" from Oxwall something goes wrong. Only the folders in the plugin ZIP gets uploaded - NO files :-(
