Hello,
I'm having a bit of trouble with my site. It's the same problem but it manifests in two ways to bare with me as I explain this.

Oxwall has a default question to allow users to put in their first name. Which is optional. My site really doesn't need the first name option but some members do like to add it. I've noticed though, that the newsfeed posts and profile page titles of users who do not add a first name seem to be messed up.

In the Newsfeed if they make a post it does not post their username in place of their real name. So Say a person joins and there username is "TestAccount" and they opt to not add their first name. Once they complete their signup and the system posts as them to the wall saying they joined, the post should appear as their profile photo and then the text "TestAccount joined our site!" but it doesn't instead it appears as their profile photo and then the text "joined out site!"

Then once they've made their account if you visit their profile page it's also messed up. If you look at the browser tab of a user who has not added their real name to it, it doesn't show their username as the title. Instead it titles the tab as the link i.e. "http://exam...user/TestAccount"

So I guess to summarize if a user doesn't add a real name their username doesn't take its place like it should. I hope that makes sense. If you need picture to help make it easier let me know!

Best Regards!

In this case you will need to go here: www.yoursite.com/admin/settings/user

in the Display settings section - Show profile name as - Change it to Username
