Movedfrom Hosting to Server - not Error [Solved] | Forum

Hi,


i moved from a Hosting to a V-Server .


I have backup from Database - and i use the same Name from User and Database on the new server.




All files i have a backup.


No i get some Error´s ...




Can someone help me ?

Giovanni, seems like the host for the database is different on a new server. I mean this line in ow_includes/config.php file: 

define('OW_DB_HOST', 'localhost'); 

Please check how this line looks like in the file. 

What I get from the error that DB host is not localhost. Contact your new hosting provider to find out what the host is for your database. 


Also you need to rename ow_logs folder on your server to ow_log and set the permissions to this folder as 777.

by transferring from old to new server some files where not copied correct ... thats was the problem i think ..


now runs very well

Im tryin to figure out the best way to Backup a MySQL and the FTP for a site if possible. Some solutions backup but to the FTP of the site and that doesnt seem to safe. what options do I have? I have about 15 sites I would like to automatically backup to another location in case there is a problem with the site so it can be easily restored. I heard <a href="http://www.ahsay.com/...ts_overview&r=1d">Ahsay Software</a> was good but I need some suggestions?
