I been seeing this problem every now and then but just kept thinking it was a fluke but now that m,y site is getting more active its happening allot now.

There needs to be a filter in place that stops bad user code. I cant regenerate the problem because i immediately delete it as soon as i see it happen but I'm thinking there has to be a way to allow embedded code with out allowing any thing else in it. a way to cut off any bad code automatically.

Josh, we need to the code so we could know the tags or the words to forbid for using in the embed code Or at least the source where the users get that code

That's what I'm trying to figure out. I also noticed something weird with the tags for it. When u type a singe word, like for example i was using a soundcloud embeded code and put "  funk, Fun music, and funk instrumental" and for some reason when i click save it will show  Funk FUnk FUnk Funk funk Funk funk FUnk over and over again it also does it with the word news.

This is a exploit that people will eventually figure out and im hoping to figure it out and patch it before allot of people start doing it to every ones oxwall site.

Now for the weird code i noticed when video's have foreign characters in it it sometimes breaks the code or something else in oxwall is not handling it correctly. Like Chinese font or similar symbols it cause the java script in news feed to break and also in the video's page.

This might be more of a problem with the script that parses a video url and extract the data. Im thinking the bug is in there. Try to run tests with videos that has foreign symbol font.

When I manually embed code i do not see this problem and when i enter url i haven't made it do it yet but some how people are doing it and i don't know if they know there doing it or not but it happens so little that i never really get a chance to do something about it because I'm usually at work and just delete the post for a quick fix to the site..

Josh, I'm more than sure it happens due to some third party plugin. I see you use some third-party plugin for video, could you disable it and try only default one.

sure but like i said this is also happening with blogs to. there is a issue with my tag system.

You can try the same steps on our demo you'll see that there's no such issue. Which means something is wrong on your side only, 3rd party theme or 3rd party plugin causes that. I can't tell which is exactly, but you need to disable them one by one and check what causes the issue.

any suggestions for what plugin that might mod or enhances tags? the only one i can think of was fancy URL but i disabled that it it didn't change it.

the weird part is when i go to edit the video and delete just one of the tags it deletes them all.

I'm sorry I don't know for sure, deactivate the ones you installed recently before that started to occur. I see you have spvideolite plugin. It was published relatively recently. Probably it is.

I ruled that one out because i noticed this about a month and a half ago. I added the Spvideolite about a week ago. Its possible it could be one of my caching engines doing it some how. something is triggering certain tags to act weird like that. Im going to save data from the next time the video bug happens for further exploration but im stumped on the tag issue.

Then go to your ow_plugins folder and check the plugin which have been installed within this period of time according the "last modified" time
