i did as you told updated the old backuped config.php file..
but it seems that it doesn't worked for me...

Did you downloaded the whole package of rc2?

If do, try to replace it with your current file in the data directory.

Remember to keep all the detail in config.php as you need it to connect to your database.

I have updated to rc2 version with no problem, hope it can help you.

Did the 'update platform' notification is still there after the update?

Have you check your Oxwall version in oxwall site root directory file: ow_version.xml?
If you have successfully update it, it would be rc2 in the xml file.
