When I try to upload png image to newsfeed, it just keeps on processing and does not complete uploading. However, other extensions are fine.

Umair, please check whether you can upload PNG image anywhere else, like attachments to the conversations(chat/PM) forum/blogs.
If not, please apply this fix: http://www.oxwall.org/forum/topic/29543?page=1#post-126906
If it does not work, please check your console for any errors while uploading the png image. Refer to this tutorial: https://docs.oxwall.org/faq:parse-error-troubleshooting

PNG image is uploading successfully in console, blogs and events. In the newsfeed it just keeps on processing and does not complete.

There's 500 internal server error in the console while uploading the png images

you need to contact your hosting provider support team to resolve the issue.
