Video Plugin loading insecure items from YouTube | Forum

I've got a problem with the video plugin on my site. Basically, if someone posts a link from YouTube, the thumbnail that's pulled in is always from HTTP, not HTTPS. See below:

This may seem insignificant, however, I'm currently working with a developer to create a mobile app for my site, and for push notifications to work, SSL needs to be enabled. So these HTTP links are completely breaking the app.

Is there a way to force the video plugin to pull in the thumbnails using https instead of http? If I navigate to http://img.youtube.com/vi/KBEIXYOSKIA/default.jpg then the image loads. If I change the URL to https://img.youtube.com/vi/KBEIXYOSKIA/default.jpg the image still works. So I know it's capable of doing it.

Thanks,

Kev

I did actually search the forums, but couldn't find anything relevant. The third link helped. Thanks Ross.
