Michele, don't worry, just put form_element.php file in the ow_core folder and refresh your website couple of times and try to reproduce the steps you took before, when this error occurred.

Oh my gosh that's exciting, I got the form_element.php to make the search page show in all instances again!! Haha. Thanks Ross!! :D

So the search page is now showing if you pick that you want the age(year) in it (where it wasn't before). . . however with all 3 search age options, the system still doesn't search properly. I test for myself (and another) typing in our age range in the search and it just goes back to the search page again.

This is the problem I was having before too.

If I take the search age out, and then search for myself or others on other certain search criteria, the search works fine again. It does seem to be a bug with the age search itself like was said earlier in the thread?   I'm on Origin Theme and tried taking off all 3rd party plug ins and the problem still persists

I'm sorry what do you mean by with all 3 search age options?
Can you please provide the screenshot of your search form?

I'm sorry about the late reply, couldn't log in today on either oxwall or my site to get the screen shot, but now I can! :)

Anyways I meant that now after your helpful code insert,  all 3 age field search options under the "birthday question" in the "user profile questions" under admin  (age, date, and birthdate) are still not working when you click the search option, no matter which you choose. (Before I got a blank screen when I selected the age field . . so now at least I get the normal screen which is good progress :) )

If I search the site now for an age range where I know members are (like myself and a friend). .I just get an orange spin and then back to the original search page here~

Tonight I tried this on your demo and I get the error I was getting on my site but I'm almost guessing if that were cleared , it might do the same as my site is doing? Again, I uninstalled all 3rd party plug ins to test my site and that wasn't it

Ok, I see.

If you want this field to work on the search page, you have to make it required and put on the join page and all your uses must fill it out in order to be in the search results.

You can test it, let admin fill this field out, let's say put it on the profile edit. Let him be 2nd of February  1974

Then you do the search from 1st of February 1974 to 3 of February 1974, you'll see the admin in the search results because he filled this field out.

Thanks for the response Ross! I have been making it required, having our test profiles fill the birthday field out, and testing it out all sorts of ways this week.

Even when I went in and used the exact same suggestion as you, (making myself 2nd of Feb 1974 and then searching 1st of Feb 1974 to 3rd of Feb 1974), I still get the orange scroll not finding anyone, and then returning to the search page.

Even when I search a wider field say from 2nd of Feb 1960 to 1990 where another test profile has an age filled out of 1983. . I still am returned to the search page.

Michele, the users should fill not the Birthday field, but the field you added, it is Date field, it should be also filled out by the users.

I meant that our tests did fill out question 'Birthday Filed' (as the question is defined in the admin)~ with the date field.

This happens unfortunately with every type of birthday field could you could choose... say if you use the straight age field and make the users 30 and 31... then if you search between 20 and 50, it still does the same thing. .

It doesn't pull anybody up and it goes back to the search page.

Michele, you don't understand. The users should fill out the field you added too, not the Birthday field only.

I'm just not sure, I feel like I've tested this dozens of different ways in the past week. I've had my test profiles fill out ALL fields I've added.

The issue was caused by this line

AddHandler application/x-httpd-php52 .php .php5 .php4 .php3

in your .htaccess file

I commented it, now it works, please check
