google it, its too much information to post.

if your running your own server it really is information that either you should already know or you should be paying someone to know, how you optimise it will depend on the system and services that your using, what the server is being used for and what scripts you are running

Nginx, eAccelerator and memcached will reduce server load significantly.

during peak times what is your server load? and when you run free -m in ssh what does it say?

if  dev mod is true put "false". "True" will make ur site SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW

I don't think live site would work with dev mode enabled.

Tom, when dev mode is ON, your website static files are being recompiled, which is why it is slow.

my site is still running slow, I tried an optimization plug in but it's still running slow. I called my host and they said it's because the PHP scripting is just taking to long to run, what gives?

Tried both Google Chrome and Firefox. Can't reproduce the issue.
