When trying to access my plugins I get this message

The source code of 'XXXXXXXXXXXX' plugin was updated. Need to update plugin DB.

Can anyone enlighten me to what it means? and why I'm getting this message?

I clicked it and it says "plugin is up to date" . How do I get it to go away?

It means either:

that one of your plugins has an update to the db table for that plugin.  Some plugins have their own db table and that plugin is trying to update itself in its own db table.  Check with the plugin dev to see if there is a query that needs to be run to update that plugin. Normally the query is in the update folder.  But dont run any query unless you check with them first, you will make the matter worse.

OR

it means that the oxwall update process is trying to update the oxwall plugin db to set the plugins version to the new version. It should have done so when you updated the plugin or whatever it was you updated.

Hope that helps

Thanks Dave, the problem is the dev for this plugin doesn't answer when you try to contact him. The other problem is it's locked me out of my whole admin so I can't do anything at all.

I'm still using 7.1 I haven't tried to update anything, the plugin is only compatible up to 7.1 and hasn't been updated since last year.

Is there a way to remove or deactivate the plugin manually?

Thanks for the PM, since you are familiar with phpMyAdmin then we can go forward...

Open up the phpMyAdmin and go to the ow_base_plugin table, find the plugin your talking about and edit it, change the 1 for isActive to a 0 and save it...

also while you are there scroll to the top of that table and make sure that both Base OW Plugin and Admin Panel are set to 1 under isSystem.  And a 1 in isActive as well.

They should already be set that way and you should never change them unless a team member says so.

Guys, I'm gonna delete the posts which are not related to the topic. It would be better for you to use PM for such chats. The off-topic posts makes harder for other members search for the solutions.
