I have never had anything in my moderation items page so i wonder what exactly is suppose to go in there for moderation. The new users use to be at the top of the dashboard but ever since they moved them my mods have not been able to see new members ever. I have to approve all new members via the admin users list because i dont see them on the userside either.

Most of the time if it was not for the email i get for new members i may not even know they are there unless i check my admin user utility links for unapproved members.

So what is the moderation page for, how is it suppose to work, are new members suppose to be in there when they join, what's the deal with this and how to use it properly?

but $49 for a plugin to moderate, im sorry i feel that is way too much for the average user, i certainly would never pay that as i too am on a budget. I would pay $20 but not $49 sorry.

So that answers some of it but are we saying that without a plugin that page is useless? What is suppose to go there for moderation, what kind of content?

Dave, presently the moderation panel has the flag feature. When users have flagged content, you will see the notifications in the moderation panel. When you click notification, you will see the table with the flagged content.

Thanks Taissa for that explanation that helps... so about new users, am i correct that the only way to see them is via the admin panel under unapproved users. There is no more user side access to new users until the next version or so, is that correct?

dave, there are two ways to see the list of unapproved users:
- this list is available to the admin or moderator who has access to the admin panel as well .
- by using the direct link: http://yoursitethingie.com/users/waiting-for-approval for moderators who have no access to admin area.
