"Insert Image" popup is not very usable | Forum

"Insert Image" popup is very messy in Oxwall at the moment. It renders with 3 scroll bars, see a screenshot below.

Another issue with the popup is that it loads all the images at once. As a result it takes much time and bandwidth to fully load the popup (tested on 30+ images)

A better approach here would be to load each image on demand.

As to the iframe scrolls issue - are you referring to oxwall.org or your website? as we do not have horizontal scroll on oxwall.org

as to the loading each image on demand, you can make a suggestion on uservoice: http://oxwall.uservoice.com/forums/13756-ideas-for-oxwall

This is currently on oxwall.org, in Gallery tab. I have a list of 30 images. Try to expand images, this will bring up the scrollbars.

as I said I don't have any horizontal scroll bar only vertical, as to the vertical ones, this is a natural behavior of an iframe

Quote from ross as I said I don't have any horizontal scroll bar only vertical

Try uploading a wide image, for example: 800px width and 200px height, and you'll understand what I mean.

I do agree that 1 vertical bar is ok for an iframe, but why do we need 2 here?

From what I know, uservoice forum is used for new features suggestions. But I do not offer any new features here, I'm just suggesting to fix an obvious glitch which affects user experience and server performance.

as you can see in the screenshot the image which is shown in the ifram is 1680x1050, it is wide enough, still we don't get the horizontal scroll, what is your screen resolution?

When I say wide image I mean width several times bigger than height. Try uploading a 800px width and 200px height image and you will see what I mean.
