i have 2 installs
now seo plugin was need update
one install i had to put licence key in
other auto updated and did not need licence key
i have noticed this maybe 4 times now on different plugins

Because you can't use the same plugin package on 2 different website, you have to obtain the plugin twice
because the plugin update is based on IP which is why you were asked to enter your license key.
