FYI -
If you post a link to a group on your site...
It will return the group name and icon, and look great.
However... the newsfeed will show a default oxwall logo, and the name of your site (rather than the name of the group) IF...
You have access to guests turned off in global privacy settings.
Or
You have groups not viewable to guests, in your role settings.

matt, this is how the oEmbed feature works. It grabs the first available image on the page (Oxwall branding image). If you add meta tag with the custom image, it will show up instead of default Oxwall logo (http://www.oxwall.org/forum/topic/24875?page=1#post-112078).
To make it work the way you described - to use the group info: avatar, title, description we need to develop and integrate this functionality into the software.
We will forward this idea to our product designers.

Great! Thanks for the info.
It seems that Group Cover, fixes this issue, if you have that plugin. But it would be grat to have a fix for sites not using that plugin.
