Hi there,

I wonder if I can motivate members to add more own events when the event description has DoFollow links.

Is there an easy possibility to make links DoFollow instead as NoFollow?

Cheers

Andreas,  by default all the Event hyperlinks are dofollow. So, you don’t need to do anything to make a link do-follow. If I misunderstood you, could you please give an example of Event no-follow link.

Hi Taissa,

thank you for your reply.

Internal links are dofollow but I ask for external links in the event description. The same for profile fields, blogs, groups and so on.

If dofollow links are possible, member can easily generate a number of different backlinks for seo reasons. The idea behind is to motivate members to be more active.

Cheers

AL

Andreas, this functionality to automatically add rel="nofollow" attributes for all external links was implemented in the 1.5.3 version to discourage spam bots. Another one important thing in case you have "nofollow" attribute, is that search engines will index your site but not the external links.
Nevertheless if you still need DoFollow instead NoFollow implementation, this is considered as a custom code modification.

If you are not familiar with the code modification or plugin development, it would be better for you to find a developer who can help you. You can do it here: http://www.oxwall.org/market/specialists
