You can attach in a forum post, but not it a blog post - blog posts are call out for the ability to attach.
How can I add this function?

This seems to be a little hit and miss - you can attach in some places but not others.

Perhaps the blog isn't all that good... afterall I have just noticed that the Oxwall blog is actually using Wordpress.

David, as you noticed for now our blog plugin is just a light version of any blog system. But mainly users do not need to attach files. Usually for blogs it is enough to insert photos into the post. Also you can paste into the post a link to the already attached file.
Anyway, I can't affect our developer and product designer teams about implementation of new functionality, because I'm just a supporter.
For this goals we use our suggest board to show our product designers what features are the most essential.
