Hello,

I have just inserted an HTML widget on my main page with a simple link to a webcam and now all content on the main page underneath this link is gone. The link itself meaning the webcam pic also does not show.

I cannot click on the button to customize this page. It's not working anymore.

Please help me to revert this back asap.

The page is at: http://hardy.biz.tm/spain

Here is a screenshot with the code of the page in question.

Thank you so much for your help.

Hardy

Go to your phpmyadmin

locate ow_base_component_setting table

click on it to enter

click on the search in the toolbar above the table

do the search by typing the keywords from the webcam url, for example meteo

then go to ow_base_component_place_cache and remove every record from there

after these steps you should be able to remove the widget from the user-end

Hello Ross,

Thanks for your quick response.

I did everything as you suggested. After that I checked and still the same behavior. Again, I could not click on the customize button. I closed Chrome down and restarted and also used a different browser just in case, but the page still looks the same after I added this HTML widget in the first place.

Now, I logged out of my admin account and wanted to log back in,  but now the LOGIN button does not work, only the button right next to it, REGISTER, works.

I am really lost now.

Any other ideas?

Thanks again,

Hardy

Sorry Hardy I forgot to include one step, you need to remove the content you find in the ow_base_component_setting table

Hello Ross,

Yes, I figured that one out myself ;)

I removed the relevant content in the ow_base_component_setting table and all entries in the ow_base_component_place_cache.

That did really nothing.

How come I cannot click on the LOGIN button anymore? I don't understand what this has got to do with all this?

Thanks again,

Hardy

Hello Ross,

Yes, everything seems to work again. You deleted some other widgets, but that is no problem, I can set them up myself again.

Thank you so much, you helped me a lot!!
