I am working on a way to show my members online when they are using another service. now I have gotten them to show up online in the database. via ow_base_user & ow_base_user_online - but they are not showing up on the message? is there another location i need to hit for them to show up their properly?

Ricky, can you give me more details like screenshots for better understanding? What do you mean by saying "not showing up on the message"?
As far as I understand you have an issue with displaying online users in the Chat window. In this case, it may occur because of ow_mailbox_user_last_data table. This is a cache table and you will need to clean it.
