i have spent soooo much time on this problem
only to get my own website blocked on facebook
the problems are from lots of different things
from the images not being the required size most of the og images are the small tiny 100 x 100 px it needs to use the big or original images not the tiny cropped images
as fb sometimes bypasses these tiny images and then grabs any image from the page, og images should be above 600px wide
facebook recommends 1200 px wide

theres lots of og tags missing from pages every page is different tags missing

now all this is not such a big problem if your site only has a few shares every now and then

the first sings of problems is you will get your default image blocked as spam
not a big problem as you get a pop up and you can put a request in saying theres nothing wrong the images in not directed as hatefull or as porn
a week or 2 latter your default image will start to work again

then as more and more things get shared you will get put in the spam senders list

but try and find out how what and why is a nightmare
even fb has nothing on it and theres nothing to point you to anything
from what i have found on this fb thinks if you can get it almost right on some pages then you should get it right on all pages
"og:type", "fb:app_id", you can put in admin pages header edit thing

but the missing rest of it the plugin needs to do that

which is a load of bs because my site is not listed on them
so its a internal fb police thing on get ur og tags right

of your sites getting 50 to 100 shares a week
and you find suff is just not getting shared right
your domain is probily on fb canned list

and theres seams to be no way off it
theres these 2 i have tried and hope i get off the canned list but if i do i will have to remove all share stuff until its working right or il end straight back in the canned list

ok they have put me off the black list but have warned me to fix me og meta tags as if i get put back on the list will be very hard for me to get back off it

so now i am stuck between a rock and a hard place do i cross my fingers and hope or do i bite the bullet and remove social share until it gets fixed

When the plugin was developed there were not such specifications, we have passed the issue to our devs, it will be fixed asap

yes fb is start be anal like google and make there own laws

the only clue fb gives you is when you try debug a url it comes up funny error
and wont scrap the url just says internal scrape problem and on google there error there millions ppl have this problem

facebook forums are heaps with no answer from facebook

after hours of searching i found change ur api and og type to blog
as it seams tell fb ur a website gets u smashed quicker
i can set my start page default og image back so u can see th debug notice if you like

something like this simple setup

makes the tags auto placed
all it would need is a size thing so it not auto grab icon and stuff
say if imahe is over 500 px wide

Anthony, this user who posted screenshots is not allowed to use the forum as she's been suspended. which is why her posts have been deleted.

As to the og tags, we have already added og tags necessary for SEO and correct sharing, open the source code of any page, you'll see that.

If you want to add some additional og or other tags, this is considered as a custom code modification. You will need to do that on your own or hire a programmer to do that for you.

If it gets enough voices we'll consider implementing it.
