White screen - E500 error when I activate this plugin. - Advertisement | Forum

I have just installed this plugin and activated it.... I am now getting the white screen with the e500 error message.  I did not bother to debug this yet, but I did deactivate it which clears the problem.

Is there as patch or update for plugin this to run properly?

John, the issue can be caused by the 3rd party plugin which is incompatible with the default ad plugin, please enable debug mode to see the actual error, but before doing that, please install geolocation ip database plugin and see if the issue persists.

I'll be happy to try that.  I've done a search on in the store for "geolocation ip database plugin" but there are no results.  Where can I find this plugin?

I have since found and uploaded the geolocation IP plugin.  I am no longer receiving the error, however it is not displaying an ad.

I have installed the plugin, activated the plugin and put good adsense html code into the settings and I selected the placement for the ad to display.  The banner location is now showing, however it is blank with the word "advertisement" on the far right of the banner area.

Am I missing something in how it is setup?

please provide the code you're using, as we cannot reproduce this on our side.

I have gone to the Google adsense site for the code to add to the plugin:

This is the code I have tried as a banner ad for the top position on the page.

<!-- Start Here -->

<script type="text/javascript"><!--

google_ad_client = "pub-2151667935419035";

/* 728x90, created 7/17/08 */

google_ad_slot = "3982587258";

google_ad_width = 728;

google_ad_height = 90;

//-->

</script>

<script type="text/javascript"

src="http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js">

</script>

<!-- End Here -->"

something is wrong with the code, the original code of the adsense google ad should look like this:

<script async src="//pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js"></script>
<!-- PMC-OX Responsive 1 -->
<ins class="adsbygoogle"
     style="display:block"
     data-ad-client="ca-pub-8407279991046690"
     data-ad-slot="5221033969"
     data-ad-format="auto"></ins>
<script>
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({})
</script>

John, turns out it is a bug, it has already been reported and will be fixed in the upcoming update of the software.

I appreciate the news.

Is there any estimate when an update might be available by the developer? Or do you know if there is another plugin that will allow me to add my own swf banner ads to the page?
