i get "error" as authentication message when i try to login on my site. then i will have to wait endlessly without being logged in . once i i refresh the page , then i am login in. please how do i resolve this issue. thanks

try using fire bug on firefox browser or inspect element to see if there is a parse error/javascript error

Did you add anything in your htaccess file before that issue started to occur?
Did you add any 3rd party plugin, try remove all 3rd party plugin, switch to the default theme and check if the issue persists.
