Hello,


Cron not working. I have tried everything but still getting this error.

PHP Parse error:  syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION, expecting ')' in /home1/user/public_html/foldername/ow_system_plugins/base/bol/theme_service.php on line 865


I have php5.6.15 version. please help. Website working fine.

What hosting are you using?

I am using bluehost server. But when i run cron directly through url it run successfully and user get mail. But when cron run through cron job it giving that error. Please help on this.

What query are you using for your cron job in your cpanel

ask your hosting for correct cron command for your server  
as there is no error on manual run your cron

Amit, first of all do not duplicate your posts on the forum, otherwise you won't get assistance at all. 


What is your software version? 
What is the version of your theme?

Can you also request your hosting provider to downgrade php version to 5.4 or 5.5 check if the issue persists? Keep us updated

First sorry for duplicate post.


Software Version is latest that is 1.8

I am using Theme Professional. I downloaded this theme and upload it. 


Ok, Now good news.

After downgrade from php5.6 to php5.4 now cron running so thanks Ross.


It means new version not supporting php5.6?

Amit, are you 100% sure that your your cron command ran under 5.6 version?

No, now it running under 5.4. i have downgrade it from 5.6 to 5.4

No, I mean before, because I talked to the dev and they said you have definitely ran the cron command under 5.2 php version.

Yes, cron was running before but that time i was using oxwall 1.2.6 version from very long time. Recently, i have update it to latest version.

Hello ross,

I have not changed anything in code. even not updated any plugin or theme. It working fine from last two months and suddenly giving same error again.

Amit, check your php version again, seems like the provider changed it again. Keep us updated.

No, the php engine version under which your cron commands work, contact your hosting provider and reqeust this info from them, as your site can be under 5.4 and cron runs under different version.

Hello Ross,


Bluehost saying they offer "currently PHP 5.4 and 5.6." for cron.  Please tell me what should i do now to run cron.
