Email takes ages to send | Forum

Hi there,

Title says it all, really. Using the latest version of Oxwall, connected to SendGrid SMTP, sending email takes an absolute age. That's not to say it doesn't happen - it does, eventually - but it seems to take silly amounts of time to do, and I can't work out for the life of me why.

Running the cronjob manually makes no difference. It just seems to take a random amount of time between 5 and 15 minutes to decide to move the mail to the SendGrid servers. They stay in the ow_base_mail table until then...

Anyone have any ideas why this could be happening?

Thanks

Curtis

check your server mails on how long cron is take to run
if your cron is average 70 seconds set your cron the run every 2 minutes

also check how much memory cron is use and make shore you have enough available
or your server will kill the psocess
