Today, I entered into debug mode before backing up. I did not think that would be an issue if I did that first and then backed up. Unfortunately, it crashed my site again. The last time that I backed up was Feb 2nd and I have had several new members and a lot of activity since then. As soon as I entered into debug mode, I crashed my site. I had made no other changes and now have the same 500 error.

I am afraid I lost everything between Feb 2nd and now. I hope this is not the case, since I have paid members and don't have any idea on how to contact them if they signed up in that time span.
Before I give up and restore to the last back-up, can anyone offer advice on what I can try to fix this?
I am on Oxwall 1.7.3 and have not been able to update to a newer version because of this theme that I do not even use.
