I added a new category, I VIP and now GOLD

How do I change it to say GOLD on their photos?

Where exactly did you add those categories? What do you mean by category?

At a guess, i'm assuming he's referring to User Roles.

You can add/configure new roles at: /admin/users/roles

Where is says "Label on Avatar" Simply change that to yes.

Anyone who is assigned the particular role will then have the label on their avatar. :)
