How do you stop people from attempting to join your site when the "By invitation only" box is checked? The normal join link shows "Sorry site is closed to registration" but if they use the fb connect they can attempt to join. I had to check the mandatory approval option to stop them from actually joining.

If you build a closed site, then the only way to prevent for joining from Facebook is to disable FB connect plugin.
