Avira antivirus software and "addme" | Forum

A member reported this issue:

avira the antivirus software i use (very common) has a tracking feature that enables me to turn off tracking as I surf. If i block a tracker called. 'addme' then the site wont let me post or see drop down menus.

We are running Oxwall 1.8.3 with the theme "Venus-Responsive".  Has anyone else experienced a similar issue?

It is possible that the addme tracker is some kind of javascript blocker which is why it effects the site in that way.  You can add an exception to avira in the avira config panel, there are youtube videos of how to do so.  Hope this helps.

You should test it on a default theme like simplicity, and if you do not get the same effect then you should let the developer of your theme know right away so they can fix it.

I have seen this with some script that runs in the head section. I don't have the particular software that you are running.
