I'm sorry but we do not provide assistance with the 3rd party themes, contact theme developer to resolve the issue.
Does the issue with the background persist on the default themes?
Also you wrote something about SEO not functioning, can you please specify?

as to the background color of the simplicity forgot password page, unfortunately it is not possible to change it only on that page,
you should apply styles ow_page_wrap element, however the background will change everywhere along the site
as forgot password page body does not have any separate class which you can use to change bg color on that page only.
