I click the link to disable maintenance mode and it won't let me back in.

Follow the link on the maintenance page screen. If the check box is selected, de-select it, and click save. If it is not selected, select it, and click save then de-select it, and click save again.

So I guess I need to call my hosting provider.

You shouldn't have to. This is the part to look at. enter yoursite.com/sign-in and enter your admin credentials.

You need to go to yourdomain.com/sign-in enter the website with your admin details and disable maintenance mode in the Pages and Menus section or you can just proceed with updating according to the instructions.

I'll send you your link via pm. I just tried it and it works.

I tried the link you provided and it takes me directly to the maintenance page with the link that does nothing.

Issue was resolved via PM. Carol couldn't access the log in, but for some reason I could, and fixed it that way.

Here is a youtube link that shows where to go in phpmyadmin. Just in case someone wants to bookmark it for future reference, if needed.

Maintenance mode can be tricky. After an update; when you go back to the admin panel, it will be unchecked, but when you log out, and go back in, you'll get the maintenance page. I've started going back to admin panel, checking the maintenance page, if it is unchecked, I will check it, and click save; then uncheck it, and click save again. That seems to work.
