can someone tell me the correct way to install a SSL certificate on top my oxwall site. or is this a bug that cant be fixed right now,

We do not provide assistance on SSL certificate. This should be done by the company you obtained your certificate from.
The only thing you have to do on your part is to change your url to https in ow_includes/config.php file.
