Since the update, all members to my website can't change avatar on their profiles.

Check your permissions and clear your cache by turning on dev mode and then refreshing your site then turn dev mode off.
The following folders must have 777 permissions set recursively:
ow_pluginfiles
ow_userfiles
ow_static
Also this sub folder needs 777 recursively as well.
ow_smarty/template_c

And you did refresh your cache with dev mode on right?
and your not running suhosin right?
You might make sure that the owner of the your files is all the same.
How are you surving up your php? Are you using mod_php or fastcgi or suPHP or anything like that, or are you just letting apache serve up the deal.
This just started happening after you updated to 1.8.4 right? Did you change servers or hosts, or anything like that?
Have you tried to disable all third party plugins and go to a default theme to see if that works.

You're not eligible to remove Oxwall attribution from your website. We do not provide assistance to those clients who did that.
