I dont think you can modify the mini chat to do that, its not a chat room, its a person to person chat, thats the way its designed.
If you want a chat room for your site here is a good one, there are others as well but this one is mine and i highly recommend it. Watch the video first (link is on the store page, demo link). If you like it then i highly recommend it.

If you dont like it then check out the store, search for chat, there are several, some work and some dont. If you need help i will help you pick one that fits your needs if you want.
