Role permissions in newsfeed for allow updates does not include profile NF | Forum

Why does the role permission for newsfeed (allow status updates) not affect the profile newsfeed. If i uncheck the box then the NF form goes away in the dashboard and the main page, but not on the profile page.

The other option (allow status update comments) seems to affect all pages including profile so why does the other permission option leave out profile NF.

Unchecked should disable that NF form from view just as it does with Main and Dashboard.

I did find this in my search

But does not answer the question, why is one role permission effecting the profile and the other one does not.
