along with the previous code  you might check the lang file also cause i dont see this

 OW::getLanguage()->text('birthdays', 'birthday')   unless im looking at it wrong.

Is it possible to let it show the same as on index page on user dashboard? It would be wonderful to show all users birthday, so the can start socializing without friendship first :)

The plugin already adds widget to the index page too. And it shows all upcoming birthdays.
