After putting in the FTP attributes it went to Error 500 and then it wouldn't go back to previous page, so I had my hosting service take site back to last back up. I'm going to need someone good to do the upgrade for me or something because I can't do it, even with the help of my hosting provider. Please?

I had the wrong PHP version according to my hosting provider, they updated that and walla it worked because next try it went smoothly to the latest version 1.8.4 Yay! So all is good now!
