I'm new to Oxwall and just finding my way around.  I'm using the Simplicity theme which seems fine for my purposes.

I noticed this site is using Simplicity too, and using it as a model, I wondered if there was a way to replicate the Main Page hero image  (here: https://developers.oxwall.com/index) to include the text ,links & social links from within the dashboard, or is there a template file that needs editing to acheive this?

Any pointers on how to acheive this would be very much appreciated

C.

OK I had a bit of a dig around so thought I'd share here on the offchance it may be of use.  Working on the simplicity theme I edited the file ow_themes/simplicity/master_pages/general.html and updated content between the ow_header divs.  This may not be the best way to do it of course, and I'm usually uncomfortable editing core code but it works in the absence of other info.  {posting the code failed by the way, unless there's some markup I need?]

You will not find help for this situation.

The only help you can get is the 3.Party Theme developer add-ons.

It is not possible to change the Oxwall theme and add-ons.

You can get additional help for such a content change.

You can get help from the 3.Party Developer community.

You will need to allocate a specific budget for this.

Yes I realise there's not much in the way of help from the community for someone learning the system which is a shame. Anyway I worked it out myself so no problem.

Hi Christian,

You can add more content to your index page by going to http://yoursite.com/index/customize. Use Custom Text/HTML widget to do so.

If you need to style the content just add your custom CSS http://yoursite.com/admin/appearance/customize/css

Hope this helps. It is best to avoid changing the theme source as all changes will be wiped by theme updates.
