Blue tape is generally for use in house painting, that’s where it’s most well-known. Artists do use it to block areas in painting, and to achieve hard straight lines, and to protect areas that you don’t want to paint. The blue tape is designed for temporary use, it is low-tack, doesn’t have a hard sticking surface so it’s more readily removed. Most blue tapes can be easily removed up to 14 days. It’s most well-known use is to tape around window and door frames, and moulding to prevent overpainting.
