This solution does not work any more, how does one change the minimum age now?

Found it! The setting can be found at

yoursite.tld/admin/questions/account-types

One must then click edit near the "Birthday" field.

I have set Geek.Zone to allow anyone born in 2015 or before to sign up, however next year we would need to add 2016 to the available options. Is there a way that this can update itself automatically?

instead of yoursite.com/admin/questions/index got to yoursite.com/admin/questions/account-types and edit birthday year range

James Geddes, you may change age range as you described  but if you need update age range this should be done  manually. If you would like to change it automatically this is considered  as custom code modification.
