I want to use my own log & remove the default website title/slogan logo. Without this, my site title is displayed twice which just look amaturish. You can see what I mean here: Linux PC Plus Community

Wolf, your site says that it is under construction right now and here http://linuxpcplus.com/community/ I wasn't able to find what you mean.
Did you try changing the site name and tag line in admin panel>>settings>>main settings>>basic ?

Changing the site name & tagline only changed what this logo said, not deleted it. I also looked at the forum you referred me to, & it did not work for me.
I have disabled maintenance mode so you can see what I refer to.

Thanks Wolf, to completely delete default logo go to admin panel>>appearance>>edit theme>>edit CSS
